Salford Firework Weekend returns to Salford for 2026

Salford skies will light up again as Salford Firework Weekend returns with not one but two incredible nights of free fireworks and entertainment to the city! 

Events will be at:

• Buile Hill Park – Saturday 31 October from 4pm

• Prince’s Park – Sunday 1 November from 4pm

Choose the right event for you and your family, and enjoy a fantastic night of fireworks and community spirit. Best of all, entry to both events is completely free! 

At Buile Hill Park, there’ll be three firework displays to suit all ages - from the quieter Little Sparks show for younger children and families, to the louder Firecracker display, and the big finale main show. You’ll also find a funfair, food and drink stalls, marshmallow toasting and the popular fire walk.

Please note there will be no bonfire at Buile Hill Park. This decision helps reduce our carbon footprint and gives everyone more space to enjoy the fireworks safely.

At Prince’s Park, visitors can look forward to a traditional bonfire, funfair, food and drink, and another stunning firework display.

Important information

All events may be subject to change so please keep checking back here regularly for further updates and before setting out to attend these events.

Both events take place in parks, where the ground may be muddy, so please remember to wear appropriate footwear. The events will take place during the evening, so whilst lights will be used to brighten the parks, be prepared that some areas will be in darkness during the event.  Ensure you follow signage around the parks to the event areas.

We urge people to attend an organised event, rather than have their own fireworks in the garden. It is much safer. And remember to keep pets indoors. Bonfire Night can be difficult for armed forces veterans as a number of reactions can be caused by hearing, seeing and smelling fire and fireworks.
