Salford Quays and MediaCityUK

Live theatre, the best of cinema and one of the country's finest  museums: The Quays offers a fantastic choice of things to do and see. Imperial War Museum North and The Lowry are vibrant and exciting examples of contemporary architecture, the contents as stunning as the setting and with something to appeal to the whole family, while for five-star film entertainment the Vue cinema can't be beaten. Shopping


Whether you're a shopaholic or just someone who likes a bargain, the opening of the Quayside MediaCityUK has made The Quays a mecca for the discerning shopper with big-name brand shops and stores offering discount prices - up to 70 per cent lower than the high street - all year round.

Sport


There's no better place to find top sport action than The Quays. Home to two of the most renowned clubs in British sport - Manchester United and Lancashire County Cricket Club, The Quays is the area to head for when wanting the best in football and cricket. Both have official shops too for you to pick up some official merchandise or souvenirs of your visit to the Northwest's sporting mecca.

The Lowry

Built in 2000 at the booming Salford Quays, this astonishing building is a shrine to all things art, with galleries, theatres, workshops, cafes and shops. It's worth a visit just to sit outside and admire the vision in metal and glass. But you'd be missing out on a whole world of entertainment inside, so step in and take your pick from the world of entertainment within.

Watersports

The Salford Watersports Centre at The Quays is a unique sporting venue which is well placed and perfect for taking to the water. Whether it's for fun or serious competition, the Salford Watersports Centre is the place to head for.

Ordsall Hall

Ordsall Hall is an engaging heritage site open to visitors six days a week throughout the year. Surrounded by landscaped grounds, it boasts hands on exhibitions, immersive room settings and a small cafe. 

Quayside MediaCityUK

Quayside MediaCityUK is Manchester’s only outlet mall with 85 stores on two floors and up to 60% off designer shopping all year round.

After your shopping unwind at the 400 seat foodcourt with restaurants and cafes. The centre also has a health and fitness centre and a seven screen cinema.

MediaCityUK

There is never a dull day at MediaCityUK. Atmosphere is central to the MediaCityUK ethos and with a host of cultural and sporting attractions, cinemas, world class events, shopping, an abundance of bars and restaurants and a diversity of people living and working here - atmosphere is certainly something that is never lacking.
