Screen Salford have developed the principles of filming best practice, which are detailed on our filming agreement page.

Code of Practice

The Code of Practice references the statutory obligations to which all those engaged in filming in Salford must adhere to. The objective of the Code of Practice is to make Salford a film-friendly city for all.

Camera drone guidelines 

The document is intended to set out the general guidelines relating to the use of drones for commercial filming activity. Productions wishing to film with these types of equipment should always employ an approved drone operator.

Night filming guidelines 

To create a positive filming environment in residential and commercial areas requires effective consultation and planning with all those directly affected by the activity. Please read our guidelines for filming during unsociable hours.
