Tickets live for 'Stories - Brought to Life' immersive experience
Tickets have gone on sale today for Stories – Brought to Life, a new ground-breaking experience
presented by FRAMELESS Creative, in partnership with the National Portrait Gallery. Opening
on Friday 2 May 2025 in MediaCity, Salford Quays, the experience will enable visitors to encounter
some of the National Portrait Gallery’s most loved portraits like never before.
Stories – Brought to Life is a remarkable new immersive experience that will explore the fascinating
lives of people featured in the Gallery’s Collection whose stories have shaped the UK’s history and
culture, from the Tudor period to the present day, from cultural icons to boundary pushing activists
both past and present.
FRAMELESS has unveiled some of the sitters featured in the experience, each inspired by a portrait
in the National Portrait Gallery’s Collection. Sitters including Grayson Perry, Malala Yousafzai, Nelson
Mandela, Emmeline Pankhurst, Queen Elizabeth I, Queen Elizabeth II, Charles Darwin and William
Shakespeare will feature in an experience designed to push the boundaries of storytelling. It will
combine the highest quality digital projection, Hollywood-style visual effects and the latest audio
technology, along with specially created musical scores and creative narratives to shine a new light
on each individual.
The experience will open on Friday 2 May and run until Sunday 31 August before going on a UK tour.
Book your tickets now via the Stories - Brought to Life website.
