Swinton Sounds
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 June
Various Venues, Swinton
Ushering in the heart of midsummer in Salford, Swinton Sounds is a brand new, free event, bringing a weekend of pop-up music and entertainment across Swinton’s centre.
Brought to you by From the Other, the team behind Sounds from the Other City, Salford’s iconic celebration of new music and performance - you can expect the signature colourful mix of emerging music and good times, that hit all the right notes.
In keeping with From the Other’s much-loved May Day festival, there’s a host of organisations involved in Swinton Sounds, each throwing their own ingredients into the melting pot. Highlights include the BBC Philharmonic’s Musical story of the Gingerbread Man, Walk the Plank’s Emperor’s New Stage, and a mini Salford Mad Pride and of course some of the best new music from across Greater Manchester.
Spanning the park to the pub, this is a celebration of Swinton, a celebration of sound and of coming together.
