Sounds from the Other City (SFTOC) is Salford's annual celebration of new music and performance. Taking over the pubs, bars, squares, warehouses, churches and 'everywhere in between' spaces of Chapel St, the festival is back for 2022.

Throughout its history, SFTOC has hosted early career performances from acts as diverse as the Ting Tings to Sampha, Alt-J to IAMDDB. It has earned a reputation as a day of discovery and a community festival in its truest form. It brings together the independent creative scenes of Manchester, and more importantly Salford, to create something downright magical. A unique experience that can be enjoyed by everyone, whether they are on stage, behind the scenes or just soaking it all in with a drink in hand.
