Visit Worsley

Worsley Walks and Water

Discover Worsley! Learn about rich heritage, see picturesque half timbered buildings and sail along tranquil canal-side settings. With our new 2010 programme of heritage walks and canal cruises, it is an ideal opportunity to uncover stories, learn fascinating facts and explore the unique heritage sites such as the Bridgewater Canal, the Barton Aqueduct, Astley Green colliery and many more.

Both the canal cruises and heritage walks are guided which means history will be brought alive by weaving together stories about local people and Salford's rich heritage of cotton, engineering, sport and music.

If you want to find out more, download the Worsley Walks and Water leaflet.
