Salford Reds stadium
Salford's very own rugby league team, Salford City Reds, have outgrown their home at The Willows and have launched ambitious plans for a brand new stadium in Barton. The City of Salford Stadium project received outline planning approval in November 2006 and work has now begun on site to make the vision a reality
The landmark scheme involves development of a 20,000 capacity stadium for Salford City Reds RLFC. The project will be located on approximately 80 acres of currently derelict land at Barton, adjacent to the M60 Barton Bridge and the Manchester Ship Canal.
