Central Salford’s transformation into a beautiful, vibrant and prosperous city is underway.
As the world’s first industrial city, Salford has borne both the brunt and the benefits of that status. Fantastic architecture, hidden among the network of roads and railway bridges that brought prosperity, a river that played a key role in achieving wealth and employment and a strong and fiercely loyal community whose predecessors played a major part in making Salford a world-famous city.
Now, a Vision and Regeneration Framework has been developed to put the city back on the world stage. Together with the many partners across the public and private sector and the communities of Central Salford - Ordsall, Broughton, Irwell Riverside, Langworthy, Kersal, Claremont, Weaste and Seedley - we can make Salford a beautiful, vibrant and prosperous city where people will want to live, work and study for generations to come.
