British Fireworks Championships

The Eventfull! programme of events in Salford got off to a bang this weekend as 9000 people flocked to Buile Hill Park to watch the ultimate battle of the bangs!
Three competing companies each showcased a dazzling ten minute display which lit up the skies over Salford and triggered many oohs and aahs from the crowd. After a strongly fought competition, Star Fireworks from Berkshire were announced the winners of the northern heat beating Celebration Days and Highlight Pyrotechnics. The company's colourful 10-minute sequence saw fireworks exploding into hearts and flowers and took them forward to the national finals in Plymouth later in the year.
