Water and Woodlands Walk

Join us for an exploration of the varied habitat in the Irwell Valley on this 10 mile walk led by Salford Volunteer Rangers. The walk passes through Livia 'Lower Irwell Valley Improvement Area', Drinkwater Park, Mere Clough, Hurst Woods and Ringley Woods before returning to the Lakeside at Clifton.
The walk is an annual event aimed at introducing people to the greener side of Salford. Donations are gratefully received on the day and will be used to support the Patterdale Mountain rescue team who recently came to the aid of one our local volunteers, and also to aid conservation work locally.
Some of the terrain may be muddy/overgrown. We recommend full cover clothing, waterproofs and appropriate footwear for a long distance walk. Please bring lunch and drinking water.
