Swinton Heritage Trail

Take a self-guided walk around Swinton, looking out for plaques in the pavement and learn something about the town's history.

There are 11 bronze plaques to find in total, in locations of historical significance. These include: Swinton Industrial School; White Lion Public House; St Augustine's Church, Clifton Hall Tunnel Collapse (Temple Drive); Station Road Rugby Ground; Victoria Park; Swinton Public Gardens (Chorley Road); St Peter's Church; Swinton Hall (Swinton Hall Road); Unitarian Church; and Chorley Road Rugby Ground.
