Getting to Buile Hill Park
Anyone who did not pre-book car parking at the time of reserving their ticket will find space extremely limited.
With the park well served by bus, rail and tram, concert-goers may find public transport the most convenient way of getting to and from the Proms.
Buile Hill Park is situated on a main bus route to Manchester and is located approximately 1.5 miles from Salford Crescent Rail Station.
Travelling by bus, train or metrolink:
The 67 and 100 bus services both stop on Eccles Old Road near to the venue. Both services run every 10 minutes from Shudehill Interchange in Manchester city centre until around 6pm, then less frequently afterwards.
Both the 67 and the 100 services operate every 30 minutes back to Manchester after the concert. The journey between the city centre and the concert venue takes around 24 minutes.
Directions from Weaste Metrolink station:
Turn left on to Weaste Rd, then go over motorway bridge, go straight across at the traffic lights and up Weaste Lane, past the rugby ground. Continue up hill until you reach Buile Hill Park on your right.Length of walk is 0.5 miles to entrance of park.
Metrolink services on the Eccles line run every 12 minutes from Manchester Piccadilly to Weaste both before and after the concert.
Directions from Salford Crescent Rail Station:
Come out of station and walk up to A6 opposite McDonalds. Turn right and pass the university buildings on right, under blue footbridge. At the roundabout either take the pedestrian underpass or cross the roundabout - look for signs to Eccles. Take Eccles Old Rd (Eccles) exit and walk past Mount Chapel Church on right Cross at traffic lights keep walking down Eccles Old Rd. Main entrance to Buile Hill Park is on the left . Length of walk is 1.2 miles to main entrance of park

If you are travelling by car please note that there are limited car parking spaces, which can be pre-booked when purchasing event tickets.
As there are limited car parking spaces we would encourage local residents to use public transport or walk to the event.
