Ordsall Hall will be closed from Monday 24 December 2012 until Tuesday 1 January 2013, re-opening as normal on Wednesday 2 January 2013.
The hall is situated on Ordsall Lane, near Salford Quays.
The hall is signposted from most major roads in the area and is less than one mile from the end of the M602 motorway. Directions are available from the AA Route Planner.
Car parking charges apply at Ordsall Hall at the following rates:
- Up to three hours: £2.00
- Three hours or more: £5.00
Please note: These charges only apply during the hall's official opening hours. Our of hours parking is free of charge.
Bus route numbers 71 and 73 stop directly outside the entrance to the hall on Ordsall Lane, route number 33 (from Manchester Piccadilly) runs to Regent Road and is a ten minute walk to the hall. Any bus to Salford Quays stops on Trafford Road with a walk of around 200 yards (get off the bus near the Copthorne Hote). Bus times can be obtained from TFGM by telephoning 0871 200 2233 or by visiting the Transport for Greater Manchester (TFGM) website.
Exchange Quay Metrolink Station (on the Eccles line) is just a couple of hundred yards from the hall. The Metrolink gives easy access to the hall from Manchester city centre (including Piccadilly railway station) and from all stations on the Bury, Altrincham and Eccles lines.
From the Exchange Quay station, walk away from Salford Quays along Ordsall Lane and we are just past the entrance to Colgate Palmolive on the left hand side of the road.
The hall is 1.5 miles from Deansgate station and 1.7 miles from Salford Crescent train station. You can transfer to the Metrolink (see above) at Deansgate, Piccadilly and Victoria railway stations.

Ordsall Hall has a small refreshment area selling wrapped snacks, a delicious selection of hand-baked cakes and sandwiches, and a tempting range of hot and cold drinks. All these items can be purchased to either eat in or take-away.
Seating in the refreshment area is limited. There are benches in the gardens and orchard where you can eat your food or food you have purchased in the hall. For more information about the cafe and its facilities please see our facilities page.
Ordsall Hall's shop sells a host of books, gifts and souvenirs to delight and inspire, with price-tags to suit every budget.
For children, there are traditional toys and pocket money items, and for the adults, pieces include locally made crafts and local history books.
