Giant Eccles Cake
A highlight of last year's Salford Food and Drink Festival was the attempt at creating the world's largest Eccles cake, with the kind help and hard work of Martins the Bakers. The result was a gigantic Eccles cake weighing in at 56.2kg (123lb 14oz) which has now been confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest ever created!
