Grenache has scooped the first ever ‘A Taste of Salford’ award after being voted the public’s favourite restaurant as part of this year’s Salford Food and Drink festival.
Grenache, on Bridgewater Road in Walkden, received the most votes from food lovers who enjoyed the city’s five week-long festival, finishing ahead of 21 rival restaurants.

The Salford Food and Drink Festival draws to a close for another year. This year has been a roaring success, with over 4,300 people taking part in one of our great events.
Thanks to everyone who helped make the festival our biggest and best yet. Keep your eye's peeled for some more of the same next year!
A Taste of Salford is a fun day out for all the family, celebrating everything that makes Salford great! Come along to the Civic Centre lawns in Swinton betwen 10.00am and 5.00pm for a great family day out. As well as tasty food and drink there's something for everyone including children's activities, prize draws and competitions, local history tours, zumba sessions, birds of prey, question time sessions and much more.
As well as all this, there will also be two question time sessions at the event - The Big Ask and Face the people, giving you the chance to put questions to the decision makers in Salford. Also appearing at the event will be Mr Bloom, the green-fingered gardener as seen in new CBeebies series "Mr Bloom's Nursery"!
