Salford Film Festival

Salford Film festival 2008

Offering a heady mix of British `kitchen sink’ classics, international cinema with a local connection, and premieres of new work filmed in and around the region, Salford Film Festival is dedicated to promoting and raising the profile of Salford as an area of creative excellence in filmmaking, and as a breeding-ground for some of the world’s great talent, past, present and to come. It’s a festival for the people of Salford, by the people of Salford, starring the people of Salford.

The 2007 festival was a great success with over 2000 people attending a range of screenings, conferences and events across the city. If you didn’t make to last year’s fantastic festival you missed Stephen Lord’s premiere, NICO ICON, Joy Division: The Documentary, some great classic films and so much more…

The 2008 festival returns from 15 - 23 November and promises to be even bigger and better as we celebrate our 5th year! Find out what's on and get your tickets now!
