BIG Events Salford brought together a diverse range of cultural and sporting events and 2007 saw the return of established favourites including the Salford BG Triathlon World Cup, Dragon Boat Race, and Salford Food and Drink Festival, we also welcomed some exciting additions such as the International Oceanico Developments Pro-Am Challenge Golf Tournament at the Marriott Hotel, Worsley and the 4th Salford Film Festival, two high-profile events that formed part of the first Manchester International Festival: the breathtaking Carlos Acosta ballet at The Lowry and Unknown Pleasures at The Quays, celebrating some of the hottest emerging music talents in a free festival on the Lowry Plaza.
