The Bridgewater Canal - A waterside trail is a new app which brings the heritage and nature of the Bridgewater Canal to life on your mobile.
Whilst you are out and about enjoying the delights of the Bridgewater Canal you can be on the look out for some of its historical and natural features. The waterside trail app challenges you and your friends to spot fascinating landmarks, buildings and animals along the length of the canal from Boothstown to Barton. You can play this game by yourself or challenge your friends to play with you.
Decide which area you want to explore and score points by spotting features, taking pictures and answering questions. You can delve deeper into the history of the Bridgewater Canal by looking at historic photos, discovering fascinating facts and listening to snippets of the past.
The Bridgewater Canal - A waterside trail was written by The Friends of Salford Museum and Art Gallery, Salford Community Leisure and Salford City Council. It was developed by Imagemakers UK through funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
