You can now hire your own boat for the day with Karen's Day Boat Hire. With 2 boats to choose from accomodating either 8 or 12 people, a range of onboard facilities and an hour's tuition you can relax and be your own captain for the day.
You can sail East and take in the picturesque villages of Worsley and Monton, before heading in to Manchester city centre and the Castlefield Basin.

Head West along the scenic route through Astley Green, past the mining museum and on towards Leigh and Dover Lock on the outskirts of Wigan.
There's plenty of options to choose from as you become the skipper for the day and take charge of your own route and pace.
