The Salford Food and Drink Festival returns for a sixth year and promises to be even bigger and better than ever!
Salford is passionate about their many local producers and variety of quality restaurants, all of whom help to bring the festival to life by showcasing a fabulous array of opportunities such as themed nights, dining offers and tasting sessions.
Salford Food Fayre - Saturday 2nd October
The Civic Centre lawns in Swinton will be decked out in all their finery for a foodtasic day of tempting treats to tickle your tastebuds. The Rangemaster Cookery Theatre, a firm favourite at the festival, will once again host a variety of chef demonstrations by local chefs, plus the return of celebrity chef Brian Mellor. So come along, get some inspiration and wow your family and friends with your new found culinary skills!
Come and say hello to Salford's largest gingerbread man!
Remember our fabulous cupcake and record breaking Eccles cake? It's going to be a hard act to follow but our giant gingerbread man should do the trick! Martin's Bakery have taken up the challenge to create this cute little (well maybe not so little!) fellow. We can't wait to see him in all his glory!
Katy Ashworth from CBeebies I Can Cook
For our little foodies, Katy Ashworth from CBeebies I Can Cook will be making an appearance at the fayre between 1-2pm. Katy will also be signing copies of her new book as well as entertaining the children with songs and stories. We're expecting Katy to be popular so get there early and bag a front row seat!
Salford Festival Ale
The much loved Salford Festival Ale is back for another year! Brewed by the multi award winning Bazens' Brewery in Salford, it has established itself a firm favourite at the festival.
Visit one of the many stalls selling a scrumptious array of local produce and show your support for our homegrown businesses. Whatever your tastes, you'll be in for a fantastic day out for all the family at the Salford Food and Drink Festival!
